The Junior League of Erie, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

If you want to meet new people and learn new skills while improving your community, the Junior League of Erie would like to get to know you!

Join the Junior League of Erie (JLE)

To become an Active Member of the JLE, New Members must complete the New Member Training Course and meet the requirements of membership. Upon completion, the New Member will be recommended for Active membership with the JLE.

New Member Training Program

The JLE training program will introduce you to how the League works. The focus will primarily be on these areas: League history and organization, Board structure, the current Focus Area Projects as well as past projects, and Our Mission, Strategic Plan, and Goals.

New Member Requirements

To gain Active status, our New Members must fulfill specific requirements:

  • Attend meetings: General Membership(1st Thursday) and New Member (TBD Thursday)
    of each month (September - May);
  • Volunteer at the League’s community impact projects and New Member projects for a minimum of three (3) hours;
  • Learn about past projects by volunteering a minimum of three (3) hours;
  • Support League fundraisers by volunteering a minimum of six (6) hours;
  • Pay a total of $100.00 in dues ($128.00 annually as an Active Member) for membership in Association of Junior Leagues International  and your local Erie League;
  • Return the Admissions/New Member form; Admission Guide for Prospective New Members
  • Participate in the New Member class project.
