Erie Philharmonic Orchestra’s Long-Term Residency Grant Project at St. Benedict’s Early Learning Center

The mission of this program is to create positive musical experiences that promote early music appreciation and early literacy skills in young students to better prepare them for success in school and beyond. Working with the Erie Philharmonic and St. Benedict’s, we will work to achieve a series of goals based on the Common Core Standards and music appreciation using a curriculum created and led by Teaching Artist Sarah Lee. This 20-week, 60-day residency will reach
over 50 students and include visiting guest artists from the EPO as well as a trip to see the orchestra perform live. We will bring in an expert to lead PD for preschool teachers.
